Biography

Mark Zamora, founder and CEO of New Day Ministries, was born and raised in the Butler Housing Project in Fort Worth, Texas. His parents encouraged him to trust God and apply himself in everything that he does. Mark is a former professional wrestler. After traveling around the world, Mark decided to move away from this secular industry and follow his passion for helping troubled youth. Mark’s commitment to the Lord is to encourage families and teens in distress by applying Christian counseling principles and the power of the Holy Spirit through prayer.
Mark has a remarkable ability to calm and soothe parents and teens and help them focus on the Lord, His purpose and plan. Mark has drawn teens out of the fog of drug addiction and other destructive behaviors for over 20 years. Mark was co-owner and Executive Director for Abundant Life Academy in Utah. He has also worked with DeKalb Community Services, Project Destiny, DeKalb County Juvenile Courts, Charter Peachford, Laurel Heights Hospital, and Life Center for Human Development of Adolescents.
Being licensed by the National Christian Counselors Association, and having a M.A. in Christian Counseling, Mark has the wisdom and discernment to be effective in early intervention in more severe cases. Mark excels in Family Restoration, coaching both teen and families to overcome adversities and hardships and discover true joy.
Mark has been married for 21 years. He and his family live in the metro Atlanta area.
