Lois Solomon, Marketing and Communications (Historian)

 

Ms. Lois Solomon is charismatic and multi-faceted.  She is a prominent historian and a community and heritage activist which sensitizes her to the needs of people. Lois has served as President or Board Member on numerous national, state and local boards, including the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the Urban League, National Association of Black Social Workers, United Ebony
Society, Inc., AARP, National Association of Real Estate Brokers (Realtist) and the  National Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A.) She is a published writer and noted free-lance photographer.  She is a licensed social worker, licensed real estate professional and licensed travel agent.

Lois’ energy, compassion and enthusiasm assists her in connecting with people and providing the necessary skills and expertise to reaching goals and objectives, thus making an impact on them to take action. Lois is the owner, CEO, of Lois Solomon and Associates, an organization that is a “voice” for the underprivileged and disenfranchised. She is known for her loyalty, leadership, character and courage as a past community and political organizer. Lois has been recognized and honored for making a difference in the community through education and practice. She is a pinnacle leader who stands out from the rest.

As a seasoned volunteer, Lois has received letters of commendation and accolades for her volunteerism from: President Barack Obama, American Cancer Association, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, (NAACP), Urban League, National Association of Black Social Workers, AARP, A Salute to Public Employees, Ohio Department of Health, the United Negro College Fund, American Red Cross, Lutheran Social Services, and the Mayor’s Mask Ball. She is a life member of the NAACP, Pacesetter/ Woman of the Year and an ardent world traveler and soul food enthusiast.
 

 Academically, Lois earned her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Dayton and her Bachelors in Social Work Degree from Capital University. Lois has completed post graduate work toward   PHD in Human Behavior and is a graduate of Leadership Columbus. She worked in the Departments of Black Studies at Cleveland State and The Ohio State Universities. Lois is the past co-owner and coordinator of de’Lert’s, Inc., an organ and tissue donor-procurement organization.

 
Ms. Lois Solomon holds a lifetime membership with the Soul Food Museum and currently serves as communications and marketing director for the Soul Food  Museum.
