Anger Management/ Violence Prevention Class

This innovative one day (Eight Hour) seminar is designed to improve information retention by using role play, group discussion, practical exercises and video illustrations to help participants learn to control anger and aggression.  It will help them recognize the causes of anger and violence. Our cognitive behavioral approach focuses on improving personal moral responsibility and accountability with regard to thinking decision making and behavior. Once the true problem has been recognized then the solution can be found.  It's content will help them earn what they should do to prevent their emotions from causing them to experience legal problems, relationship problems, family problems, career problems, and health problems. In so doing they will learn how to prevent domestics violence.

Upon completion participants will be able to

  • Understand what anger is
  • Understand what domestic violence is
  • Understand the relationship between anger and domestic violence
  • Understand causes of domestic violence
  • Understand what causes loss of anger control
  • Understand multiple techniques to control anger and prevent domestic violence
  • Understand how to improve their ability to manage stress
  • Understand how to effectively resolve conflicts
  • Understand how to communicate more effectively

    Use meditation and relation techniques

    Understand how sex roles affect male/female relationships

    Understand how anger affects Parent/Child relationships
