creations of soft sculptures.
Mama’s Hands
offers an array of soft sculptured dolls dressed in beautiful
African
American attire. Each sculpture is set in natural wood that is
sanded, stained and given a radiant gloss finish. Then the
sculptures are accessorized with
handcrafted
jewelry. creating a master piece of fine art.
Mama’s Hands soft sculptures span the history of the African
American journey from Africa thru present day African America,
They tell a story of the life of a people rich in spirit,
culture, family, set backs, and triumphs.
Born into a creative Pontiac, Michigan family of 12 children,
Cole assisted her mother in creating beautiful fashion for
people in the community. Cole carried on her mothers flare for
fashion by attending Brooks College in Long Beach California
majoring in fashion merchandising. She later
attended the American International University graduating summa
cum laude in Fashion Design. After 18 years of fashion design)
Cole found her niche in soft sculpture doll making.
Cole says she designer soft sculptured dolls from her spirit.
She said, “I design my sculptures with a silhouette face. I
position each sculptured body to touch the viewer with my spirit
by giving them the ability to feel the energized attitude of the
situation each sculpture represent”.
Cole’s soft sculptures are not just dolls; they appeal to the
doll collector, the art lovers’, and home decorator alike. “My
soft sculptures are created to brighten the decor of any room”.
Cole also welcome custom orders and special occasions pieces,
such as~ weddings, sororities, and fraternities.
