What is a good job?

I ask my students this question when I taught at Atlanta are Technical Institute.

The answers I received were $10.00 an hour, $15.00 and hour and $18.00 an hour.

The answers were all about how much wage that was going to be earned.

My reply to my class was this.

Item 1: A good job with respect to wage involves the letter K that is regarding salary.

Not an hourly wage but rather a yearly wage. 50k, 60k, 90k, meaning $50,000.00 a year or  $60,000.00 a year or $90,000.00 dollars a year.

Item 2: A good job is one that has a great benefits program such as 100% medical care, prescriptions filled for free, medical costs paid for your spouse and offspring.

Item 3: A good job is one that allows to buy stock in the company. A company that matches the stock hat you purchase. A company that gives you Christmas stock.

Item 4: A good job is one where the soundings a pleasant and the work environment is inspiring.

Item 5: A good job is where the powers that be listen to your suggestions and ideas and even implement some of them.

Item 6: Most importantly, a GREAT job is one where you wake up and can’t wait to go to work!

You know, maybe a good job, a great job is where you work for yourself.
