History
Spiritman was born February 22,1949 in the beautiful sun
bathed costal Tampa Bay city of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Spiritman resided in St Petersburg with his sister Victoria
Martin and his parents Presiding Elder B.H.Martin Sr and his
mother Rev. Willa C.Martin. Spiritman attended Gibbs High
School. Spiritman's favorite subject was English. While
there , Spiritman was the English instructor in the English
class of Mrs. Frankie Minnis during Student Government Days
.Spiritman was one of her favorite students. Spiritman was
also in the Drama Guild at Gibbs High under the direction of
Anthony Thurston. Spiritman graduated from Gibbs High In
1967.The summer of "67" Spiritman studied Summer Stock
Theatre in the Old Town District of Chicago, Illinois
at "The Hungry Eye Theatre".In 1968 Spiritman enrolled in
Florida A & M University under the direction of Carlton
Mollette and Ron Brown. Spiritman remain there until 1971.
Returned to the Tampa Bay after school and entered into an
environmental services contract with the McDonalds
Restaurant Chains. In 1977 Spiritman moved to Atlanta and
formed a New Thought organization called .The Circle Light
,that was headquarterd downtown at 780 Peachtree which was
at that time call The Howell House. In 1980, Spiritman
traveled to West Africa and lived in the interior of the
countryside of Liberia ,Guinea and Ivory Coast where he
experienced profound insights concerning matters of Spirit
and Nature. In 1983, Spiritman moved to Miami Florida and
opened a shoe exporting company " Soulier International "
which exported shoes to West Africa and to Haiti. In 1986
Spiritman moved to Jamaica West Indies where he lived in the
mountains and continued his focus of matters of nature and
of spirit. In 1988 Spiritman moved back to Miami where he
lived reclusively on a North Miami River Property that
allowed for the study of music , living in nature , fishing
and boating everyday ,writing and spiritual introspection.
In 1997,Spiritman moved back to St Petersburg Florida and
after the death of his father Presiding Elder B.H.Martin Sr ,Spiritman
and his mother moved to Atlanta where his sister Dr.Victoria
Martin ,lived. Spiritman resided in South Fulton County
where he and his mother lived together until her death in
2007.
Today, Spiritman lives in a southwest Atlanta community
where he is performing poetry , making personal
appearances and promoting love ,compassion, planetary
restoration and the abatement of human suffering though
writing ,speaking and poetic performances.
